Fine Pottery Artist Inspired by Elements in Nature
I was born and raised in the Louisville Kentucky area. I taught art in the public schools for a number of years before settling in as a full-time potter in Southern Indiana. For the next 25 years I maintained a studio and taught intermittently at Indiana University Southeast as an adjunct instructor.
Before I moved to Sarasota Florida I taught sculpture and ceramics full-time for three years at Henderson State University in Arkansas. Once in Florida, other interests took precedence, and I did not return to clay full time until 2014. My time spent in the present clay studio is one of continuous exploration.
I have been both a professional potter and art educator for more than 30 years. I have lived in Southern Indiana, North Carolina and Florida before moving to St. Petersburg four years ago where I reside with my partner, Roger.
